    Pretty, but caveats

I like the real ceramic bowls and the blue is quite pretty. It is really quite nice.
However, there are a few things to consider before purchasing.
    1. The solar array is insufficient (too small) to power the pump in all but full sun. I am in the Appalachian mountains and it cannot operate much of the time because of cloud cover. The array is in full sun facing south at the proper 35 degree angle.
    2. No battery backup. As soon as the sun goes behind a cloud, the water stops.
    3. The hose plug for the top isn't a foolproof seal. It may take a couple of times to get it right. I also routed the hose through the metal frame to reduce the risk of it getting pulled out.
If those aren't issues for you, it's a lovely fountain that doesn't look or feel cheap. I used the small U-shaped landscape stakes to hold the power cord down. It's worked perfectly to avoid damage whem mowing.

    Solar fountain

Great fountain. The hardest part was getting the plug in the hole in the picture so it didn’t leak now I have trouble keeping my dogs from using it as a water bowl.
